Southern Reading Challenge

I have been a little slow getting started with the challenge. I'm sorry Maggie, I was one of the one post bloggers. :) I will try to do better.

I would like to read Joshilyn Jackson's The girl who stopped swimming. I also have Mary Kay Andrews' Savannah Blues. Not sure which one will be the first, but I will decide soon. They both look like awesome books!

Name your Homeplace Contest

This one is an easy one for me. My husband uses this name alot and all his co-workers now use it to refer to our home. The name is Lake Steinman. Of course, you can tell we live on a lake, if you can call it that. Being a country girl, I would actually call it a pond. :) Since our "happy place" has always been Hawaii, we have tried to bring the tropical features to our patio and backyard. Now that I have found my hibicus plants and a few small palm trees, we are well on the way to making Lake Steinman our personal tropical resort. :) Well....as close as you can get to that here in our little town. :)
